Archived and trash
Nothing you put away is lost: your words are kept. Everything waits on the Archived page until you restore it.
Open Archived
On My Books, choose Archived below your books. Inside a book, open the book's name at the top left and choose Archived…. Pick a book in the list at the top to see its versions and trash, along with anything archived from its series.
Put something away
- A book: on My Books, open the book's ⋯, choose Archive, then Archive again to confirm. It leaves My Books and can't be edited until you restore it.
- A scene or chapter: in Write, open Chapters, open the scene's ⋯ and choose Move to trash. Its words are kept.
- A Bible entry: in the Bible panel, open the entry's ⋯ and choose Archive. In Plan, the ⋯ on the entry's row in the list says Remove, and the entry's own page has a Delete card button; both do the same.
- A series thread: on the Series plan, open Threads across books and choose Move to trash on the thread.
Bring it back
Most items have Restore. It goes back where it was, with its words as they were.
- Books: open the book's ⋯ and choose Restore. It is back on My Books.
- Scenes and chapters, Pictures, Reader notes and Discarded versions are under Trash. Choose Restore beside one.
- Bible entries and Series and universes have Restore too.
- A series thread, or a Bible entry shared across a series, waits under Bible entries on the page of every book in that series, marked Shared in and the series' name. Restore puts it back in the series, so every book in it sees it again.
Versions
When a book was changed in two places at once, the version not shown is kept under Versions. Choose Use this version to switch to it; the copy you had is kept too. Discard moves a version to the trash, where Restore still brings it back.
Delete forever
Only archived books, archived structures, Bible entries and threads can be deleted for good. Choose Delete forever, then confirm. For a book, type its title exactly to confirm. It can't be undone, so download everything first if you are unsure.
