Does it write for me? Who sees my words?
No, it never writes, rewrites or suggests your text, and the app sends your words to us and nowhere else. We look at a book only to fix a problem or answer you, and the privacy policy names the tools that help us, AI tools included.
What does it cost?
Nothing while the beta is invite-only. Beta writers stay free after subscriptions start, with one honest asterisk, that may change if server and business costs require it.
Who owns what I write?
You do. We store your words so you can reach them on any of your devices, and look at them only to help you. Download a full backup as one zip file whenever you like.
Does it work offline?
It is built to. Your book is kept on the phone and writing works with no signal, but we are still testing that on real phones, so treat it as a promise-in-progress and keep a backup.
How do I get an invite?
Ask with your email. We let writers in a few at a time and reply by email. We never add you to a mailing list.
Can I import a draft I already have?
Yes. Import a Word document and Path of Prose splits it into chapters and scenes you can check before anything is saved.
What if my phone and computer disagree?
You see both versions side by side and choose. The app never quietly keeps one and drops the other.
